Well this one is interesting... “Nathan Straus” was an early owner of Macy’s department store(s). I have never seen a pan stamped with this mark - so - very cool. Straus died in 1931, about the same time as the original Duparquet did as well. The Straus, Inc. and Duparquet (DH&M Co.) businesses merged and became Straus-Duparquet that operated into the 1960s. They sold mainly dishware as I’ve never seen a Straus-Duparquet pan.
This sauce would make a nice “stock pot” or “pasta pot” given its size. It has been a workhorse over the years and has the battle scars to match but it is all fixed up and ready for more….
